Our Welsh Language Scheme has been prepared and approved in accordance with the Welsh Language Act 1993.
As an organisation, we have a strong appreciation of the value that different languages and skills bring to the Constabulary.
As part of the scheme, all our staff at the Wylfa Operational Policing Unit are offered Welsh language training and can work towards a recognised qualification. On a local level this enables our Officers to communicate and engage well with the local Angelsey community. We also recognise the Welsh Language through bilingual signage on our Police uniforms, vehicles and at our Unit and have written material available in both Welsh and English for the public. If you join our Wylfa Operational Policing Unit, you will receive an additional Welsh Language Scheme induction.
For more information please download our Welsh Language Scheme document which received approval from the Welsh Language Board on the 31st March 2008.
