Strategic Escort Group

Our Strategic Escort Group is a specialist team of officers who travel by road and sea to defend and protect nuclear material in transit around the UK and internationally. It’s a vital role, full of purpose. Which is why you’ll go through demanding and bespoke training courses with the Royal Navy, other police forces and specialist agencies. That way, you’ll pick up the skills needed to operate specialist weapons and tactics within unique environments.

Of course, our SEG officers won’t always be deployed on operations. At these times, you’ll conduct your regular Authorised Firearms Officer role at one of our Operational Policing Units around the country.
